More than a score to WIN this season.20 March 2008 Wollongong’s WIN Stadium will light up this Monday for the NRL season opener with two new red Variable Message Sign (VMS) scoreboards from Computronics installed at both ends of the ground. The WIN Stadium opener between St George Illawarra Dragons and Gold Coast Titans is expected to Computronics Chief Executive Freeman Wyllie said the new scoreboards allowed for better visibility and displayed a greater range of relevant information. “The benefit of the new signage is that it can display more than just scores,” Wyllie said. “Spectators, players and coaches can experience new aspects of the game that up until now been unavailable at the stadium. “Last minute team information, player names and statistics can all be displayed in LED brilliance.” The scoreboards also have a community and corporate function because they have the capacity to display announcements, club messages, sponsor logos and advertising. “This technology from Computronics’ signs division provides more relevant information to people visiting the stadium as spectators. “These signs are also great tools for the way the game is communicated and enhances the sports fans’ experience of watching live sport,” Wyllie said. “This is a very exciting upgrade to WIN Stadium and Computronics is pleased to be the innovator behind this new technology.” For further information about Computronics display systems and scoreboards, call 1300 888 506 or browse through our website www.computronics.biz.
