Digital Lighting System (Swizzle Sticks)
Computronics has launched a Digital Lighting System ideal for night time outdoor use.
Daytime visibility is possible when LED clusters are populated with certain colours of ultra bright LEDs or when not in direct sunlight.
The new Digital Lighting System is ideal for providing high impact signage and illumination effects at night, over a viewing distance greater than 100m. The system consists of 800mm rods (1200mm & 1600mm also available), which contain clusters of programmable ultra bright LED lights. The clusters can have up to four colours of LEDs providing endless colour and visual effect possibilities. Messages, colours and graphics can be changed at anytime or programmed to animate with interfacing software.
This is a low cost solution for night time signage and displays. Applications may include top of building signage, building and architecture illumination and large billboard graphics.

Keeping Score for Over 10 Years!
The electronic scoreboard at the Event Centre, located at Wellington NZ, stands as a testimony to the quality and reliability of Computronics scoreboards.
At the recent VMA congress/trade show, held in Melbourne, the Computronics’ Sales Manager Ossie Cesaro, met up with Simon Hart, the Operations and Facilities Manager of the Event Centre, and asked how the 10 year old scoreboard was functioning and if it required any service or replacement. Simon was pleased to inform that the scoreboard was in excellent working order and that he highly recommends Computronics’ scoreboards as his first choice for quality and reliability.
For over 20 years, Computronics has led the field in electronic scoreboards and timers to suit all sporting applications. From standard single sport scoreboards such as basketball through to multi-sport versions, Computronics provides solutions for any sporting application.
Keeping spectators both informed and entertained is very important, so Computronics adds excitement to the game with extra graphic and text feature options.
Graphic displays get spectators cheering when they see things like GOAL! and TRY! Scrolling messages can inform spectators of statistics and other information as the game progresses.
Computronics Scoreboards can include the following options:
- Mono colour displays
- Tri-colour displays - based on red & green (with 65,536 colours)
- Full RGB colour displays (up to 16.77 million colours)
- Programmable single line scrolling message, which can feature sponsored and/or venue messages
- Illuminated static light boxes, which can feature logos and advertising
Displaying sponsor logos and advertising turn the scoreboard investment into a revenue-raising product.
The Scoreboard is controlled using a large range of software options. Custom developed software is also available.
The team of designers, engineers, technicians and installers ensure scoreboards are manufactured to the highest standards and installed efficiently.
