MCG - OUTDOOR LED DISPLAYS
The prestigious MCG (Melbourne Cricket Ground) has discovered the power of LED with the recent addition of six new LED displays.
Computronics has recently installed an additional 6 LED Ticket Box Displays at the MCG. These new signs add to the existing Computronics LED Displays, which were installed April 2005.
LED Ticket Box Display features:
- Length approx. 6m
- Character Height 100mm
- Ultrabright Yellow LEDs - viewing distance is from up to 50m away
- Displaying up to 61 Characters at one time
- Auto Dimming - (individually controlled)
LED Gate Signs features:
- Length approx. 5.8m
- Character Height 100mm
- Ultrabright Yellow LEDs - viewing distance is from up to 50m away
- Displaying up to 60 Characters at one time
LED Enquiry Sign features:
- Length approx. 2.5m
- Character Height 100mm
- Ultrabright Yellow LEDs - viewing distance is from up to 50m away
- Displaying up to 25 Characters at one time
The displays are controlled by a LAN connection operated within the office above.
The Melbourne Cricket Club’s decision to install LED signage was based on its variable nature, attractiveness and ease to read, to help direct spectators and to reduce the amount of loudspeaker directives.
