State-of-the-art FIDs for Australia's fastest growing airport
Computronics supplies Intersystems the latest flight information displays (fids) installed throughout the terminal of Australia’s fastest growing airport as part of Brisbane Airport’s $2.2 billion commitment to meet the increasing demands of the airport well into the future.
Brisbane Airport, voted winner of the best airport in the Australia-Pacific in the 2008 Skytrax World Airport Awards by over 8 million passengers, continues its commitments to upgrade and expand so that it maintains its efficiently for its growing number of users.
The six new Computronics large format FIDS signs combine LED information with LCD screens to make flight identification light up using Intersystems RapidACIS (InterSystems Airport Commercial Information System).
"The displays are huge, with the largest display measuring 5x7 metres. The colour airline logos makes it easy to identify flights."
