Small Airport FIDS
Flight Information Display Systems (FIDS) are no longer the exclusive property of large international airports.
As regional airports increase their role in delivering more and more passengers throughout the country, accurate, clear information is required to make the passenger experience hassle free.
Computronics has a low cost, flexible solution specifically designed to meet the needs of small to medium sized airports.
Start with a basic system that includes a single 4-line tri-colour display or add Check-in, Departure Lounge, Gate or Baggage Collection displays to suit your current requirements and future growth.
The base system also includes a scheduling computer which allows airline timetables to be entered for up to 12 months in advance. The timetable automatically creates daily flight schedules, which are directed to the appropriate display. The daily schedule can be modified to change estimated times or flight status. Additional flights can be added or deleted as required.
As requirements grow, operator workstations can be added to provide further flexibility in the system.
A special, low cost gate control keypad option is available which allows operators to change the status of an outgoing flight as the boarding sequence progresses.
Computronics FIDS is a complete solution which will accommodate the smallest airport and grow with the airport.
